Yesterday afternoon, I went to the bathroom and noticed some pink spotting. It was a colour that is not normal for me (almost like Pepito Bismol but not as bright). It was gone by late afternoon.
I emailed my nurse just as an FYI. She said it’s a good sign and put me back on ”restricted activity” this weekend.
A person always craves lazy days at home. Yet after being on bedrest for way too many days over the past 3 weeks, I’m getting a bit stir crazy.
My mom told my husband to take my car keys with him to the farm, so I can’t escape. He knows better than to listen to her. Haha
I tested again this morning with a cheapie and with a FRER. Cheapie is the same – a slightly darker full line appearing. The FRER was a squinter, but both my husband and I were able to pick it up.
I’ve decided instead of jumping back on the roller coaster of emotions, I’ll let myself believe that if yesterday was implantation if could be 48 hours + to get a full positive on a FRER. That timing would be 9-10dp5dt.
Still impatiently waiting for Beta… 4 days to go.
That sounds like some really good timing! Everything is crossed for you! In fact, I am a pretzel right now in anticipation! ❤

I am picturing you in this contorted pretzel-like shape that looks anything but zen. Hahaha Thanks for all the support!

I’m scared it’s all just residual HCG from the booster but the signs are showing hopefully not. Why oh why is everything fertility-related always a big mind game? How are you holding up?

True, the fact that you had implantation spotting now makes me think that the precious BFP’s we’re prob just the hcg, but it sounds like you have a real BFP on the way! I’m okay, just trying to remain positive….still no bleeding or pain, just waiting for another beta tomorrow and another scan on Monday. I hate the mind games!!

Well things are progressing and that’s a good sign. You need to remember sometimes babies don’t fit into Western medicine’s formulas. Yeah… I got no clue now! I’m just praying it all works out and we get our true BFP. Did you have implantation spotting either time?

No, never did. Also I’ve never had any symptoms. I think I’ve had more symptoms on the months I wasn’t pregnant, lol.

Story of my life. One friend keeps asking if my boobs are sore. And I’m like well one minute they are, the next minute they aren’t. I know lots of women who have had zero symptoms.

With this pregnancy my boobs have been sore on and off, it’s not constant, and it’s really no different then when I’m about to start my period.

Yeah since I’m on Estrace, Prometrium and PIO I’ve got a nice combo of symptoms that come and go… (chills, hot flashes, really sore nips). But nothing out of the ordinary for those meds.

Lol, yea it’s just too hard to symptom spot when you’re taking all of that too! Guess you’ll have your answer soon enough. I meant to ask, why are you doing the hcg injections?

Yeah I’m finding it’s not a very common protocol. It had to do with my OHSS risk. They triggered me with Suprefact. Then immediately after retrieval when they decided to still do the transfer, they gave me a shot of HCG but I think it wasn’t the full dose. So, after transfer they put me on 15 IU daily until beta just to support a pregnancy since I didn’t have the full HCG trigger amount. My guess is the low daily dose was also meant to help prevent OHSS.

Oh okay, gotcha!!! Makes sense. Good luck girly, thinking of you!

Well… The pack I bought was almost expired too. So much for swinging by the grocery by my work. I rarely go there as it’s kinda old school and clearly no one ever by prego tests there. They weren’t even in the feminine aisle. They were with the shaving products. I’m gonna pick up another pack today. Thanks for thinking of me though. You should post those tests. Send them off to someone else in need. I may potentially have a whole pack of Internet cheapies left after this.

It’s frustrating when you Google (when you know you shouldn’t have) and read about people getting definite BFPs before now. I just keep telling myself it will all work out and I have time for my levels to increase before Wednesday.

It’s impossible to not turn to Dr. Google during this long agonizing wait, but just keep telling yourself everyone and every pregnancy is different. I’m still so hopeful for you!

It’s OK!!! It’s almost here (even though it seems like forever)! I did have some spotting (probably implantation) with my first pregnancy, but there are more reasons to spot than implantation, so I could see why they are being cautious. They were going to start checking my labs 7 days after my transfer, and I called to ask..isn’t that too soon? With a quant HCG (blood test), you get all levels, but since you are on the HCG injections…it would pick that up as well. They are going to want to see a nice, solid number to give you a positive and so waiting a little bit longer helps achieve that. Most “early” home tests will pick it up if your HCG is at least 50, but again…we’re hoping for higher than that. It’s coming! Deep Breath. I’m rooting for you!!! (((hugs)))

I never got betas and they told me not to POAS until 2 weeks after transfer. I actually waited 14 days that cycle that I got pregnant because I had no symptoms AT ALL and I was sure that I wasn’t pregnant.
Everything crossed for you!!

Thanks! I’m surprised they didn’t send you for Betas. What was their rationale?

Oh, Betas just aren’t common in Finland unless there are issues. I wasn’t having any issues. lol. I did ask about it while still in the IVF process, but as I went through the public system, I was told that it would be too expensive to do Betas for every person they handle. And I did understand that, even if I didn’t like it. Haha.
